Introduction:

As you all know the United States has 50 states and they each have there own capitals. This exercise will allow you to memorize and learn all 50 of the states and there capitals. By completing the quizzes and assignments it will help recognize the capitals of states and expand your ability to remember them at a later date. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k87N8K-nKLo


Tasks:
  • Your first task is to complete the States and Capitals game for beginners with a partner. If you reach 100% on level one move yourself up to level two.
  • Next, you and your partner will complete the State Puzzle. Start with the (States with Outlines). If 100% successful go to (States without Outlines).
  • Lastly, with a partner come up with a way to present how you can remember the states and their capitals, by creating a song, travel brouchure, or your own puzzle. Be Creative!!!

Conclusion:
By completing these exercises and the project you will have successfully learned all the states and there capitals. I know 50 states and capitals are a lot to remember, but by doing more than one exercise and the project, you will be able to start remembering them as we research them more over this unit.
